Application Server Administrator required for the Oracle Application Server platform (10gAS).

Training will be provided once candidates have a good knowledge of Linux/UNIX and Java web application development. J2EE development and deployment experience very desirable as are basic Oracle database skills.

Responsibilities

* Perform releases of applications to J2EE container
* Provide advice on configurations for performance and availability of applications
* Provide assistance in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for issues reported by customers
* Research and document best practices for the deployment and management of J2EE applications
* Take an active interest in the security of the infrastructure and provide suggestions for improvements

Mandatory Skills

* Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
* 2+ Years Java/J2EE web development experience
* Strong knowledge of web technologies such as web browser, web server and application server. Ability to troubleshoot and trace the flow of data through an N-Tier environment.
* Developer-level knowledge of Linux/Unix : file management, process management, file editing, network troubleshooting and shell scripting
