As part of the ongoing enhancements to the Hook Head IT Community, Hook Head has launched the new Hook Head Forums. The Forums allow registered IT Professionals to openly discuss technology and any other subjects of interest in a bulletin board environment. The forums are publically available to read, but membership of the IT Community is required in order to post to any of the forums.

Hook Head Software today launched The Virtual Accountant, it's new online Accounting System specifically designed for IT Contractors. The Virtual Accountant is an Action-Oriented Accounting System, which tracks the underlying Ledger Accounts and Trial Balance, while the IT Contractor just deals with high-level actions such as preparation of Sales Invoices, Registration of Purchases Invoices, Tracking of Expenses etc. A full description of the Virtual Accountant is available here

| Hook Head Recruitment Portal opened to Recruiters |

Hook Head's Recruitment Portal has been further enhanced to facilitate Recruiters.
From the outset the Recruitment Portal has allowed Employers to advertise their Job Vacancies on the Hook Head site under the Hot Jobs section. However all Job Applications were routed through Hook Head and subsequent placements had a commission applied.
As of today Recruiters can avail of the same service. However, rather than routing all Job Applications via Hook Head and having to pay related commissions, Recruiter-added jobs have the Recruiter Contact Details exposed via the Web Portal, cutting Hook Head completely out of the picture and thereby reducing costs.

Hook Head's new CV building feature allows you to build your CV using standard HTML forms then export it in Microsoft Word Format.
You no longer have to worry about margins, tabs or formats. Simply complete and store your CV using the convenient online forms and view it online using a fixed URL e.g. http://www.hookhead.com/cv.jsp?id=18 or export it to MS Word e.g. http://www.hookhead.com/wcv.jsp?id=18.
Once open in Word you can then edit and save your CV as you see fit.
